The National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Main Street program, of which Discover Downtown Franklin is a part of, offers an approach to downtown revitalization that has been successful in more than a thousand towns and cities throughout the country.

Your participation will help bring about similar results for our community and make our vision for the commercial district a reality.

Right now we need help in the following areas

Fundraiser: Develop an overall fundraising strategy including memberships, sponsorships and special events, and research available government and private foundation grants.

Volunteer Manager: Actively recruit, train, coordinate and reward volunteers.

Newsletters: Create two newsletters: one for the general public, which promotes the downtown district; another geared towards downtown merchants & building owners.

Website administrator: Maintain a creative web presence.

Image Campaign: Promote Downtown Franklin’s unique qualities and market position through mass media, brochures, direct mail, posters, public displays, etc.

Business Recruitment: Actively recruit new businesses to the district, focusing on high-end retail and specialty markets.
